Top Ten Facts 1.Athena had no children or spouse. She didnt becuase she did not have enough time. Her parents were Metis and Zeus. Zues is the king of the gods and Metis was his spouse but no longer is. Zeus swallowed Metis to avoid the prophecy that Metis would give birth to a son greater than him. After awhile, Athena popped out of Zues' forehead in full armor. This might of been why her and Zeus are so close. 2. She is the goddess of strategic warfare, crafts, and intelligence. She uses there powers to help many greek heros. She also uses them to beat out anyone who tries to go agianst her. This relates to the Odyssey because she help Odysseus fight agianst the sutiors with her strategic warfare ablity. 3.Athena blinded Tiresias because he saw her bathing. She felt guilty so she gave him the capability to foresee things. So that is how Tiresias foresaw many great events in Greek Mythology and how he became the great blind prophet. Tiresias foresaw Odysseus future in the Odyssey so that is how those two relate. 4. Athena, godess of war, helps many greek heros inculding Persus, Odysseus and Telemachus, Hercoles, Bellerophon, and Achilies. She helped them do many things and come over problems. She helped because of her powers and some of the heros she really liked. This links to the Odyssey becuase she help Odysseus to overcome a problem in the story. 5. Athena wanted to be the Athens patron deity, but so did Poesidon, god of the oceans and horses. He is also her uncle. They both gave the Athens gifts to win their hearts but she won because her gift was more useful to them then Poesidon's gift. She gave them a olive tree supplying them with wood,olives, olive oil, and shade. He gave the a salt-water spring which was pretty much usless to them. 6.Athena helped many greek heros, but the only reason she helped Persus kill Medusa beacause she wanted the head to decorate her shield. On my page, My glitter text matches my goddess because it is bold like her and the color reminds me of war. Which reminds me of her because she is goddess of war. The text of the top ten facts is gold just like Athenas shield. The music represents Athena because it is very bold and sounds like a war is about to start. This connects to her because she is a bold and goddess of war.
